Welcome to Creative Dance

My name is Lauren Gotts, I am 26 years of age and I live in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

I started Ballet at the age of 3, advancing to Tap, Modern and Pointe at Lynton Academy in Harrogate. When I left school I went onto Harrogate College for a year to study Performing Arts, which included singing, acting and dancing. Whilst at Harrogate College, I assisted with the choreography for the main end of term show. I worked as an assistant dance teacher, choreographing and leading routines. I am also a qualified Gym Instructor, so I have good working knowledge of the body and have the drive to help my clients achieve their goals. Whilst running my own classes from Village Halls and before opening Creative Dance Studio in 2011, I had sole responsibility for teaching dance in a Performing Arts Academy.

I opened Creative Dance Studio to offer a wider range of classes to a larger age range, currently from age 2 – 80 and classes are aimed at all abilities. The studio is going from strength to strength.

The classes offered at the studio are Zumba, Metafit, Street/Urban, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary and Baby Ballet following the Melody Bear syllabus. I also offer one-to-one tuition if preferred.

I deliver after school clubs in Primary and High Schools offering Street/Urban or Cheerleading. Workshops are also available for community groups and organisations.

I offer children’s parties to all ages running for either 1 or 2 hours.

Hen Party and Wedding ‘First Dance’ packages are also available.

Please see the “additional services” page more information and prices.

All classes are run from Creative Dance Studio at 11, Rear Dragon Terrace in Harrogate and the classes are for all abilities. You may be a complete beginner or may have been dancing for many years, either way there will be a class for you. The classes are for Fitness, Fun and Feel Good Factor.

There is no joining  fee and the classes are paid by the half term.

When you come to any of the classes you will find them friendly, helpful and very welcoming.
